Climbing is not limited to adults; it’s an exhilarating experience for kids as well! Explore our specialised Kids Classes, meticulously crafted to acquaint young climbers with the fundamentals of climbing in an enjoyable, secure, and interactive environment. Guided by games, engaging activities, and hands-on guidance, children will acquire vital climbing skills while fostering their confidence, concentration, and collaborative spirit.

Kids Party Little Legends

A 1 hour group session under the supervision of an experienced instructor, suitable for a birthday party, special event, school or youth group. With a big emphasis on fun, collaboration and vertical play through group games and activities, this session will sample all the different climbing activities The Ledge has to offer, pushing you on to new heights. Our party slots is 11:30-12:30 every Saturday & Sunday. Catering can be provided for a post climbing refuel.

1 Hour, Age: 7+, min. 2 participants, max. 12, Cost: 2-6 kids £80, 7-12 kids £155. Catering starts from £4.50pp.

Wild Cats

A 1 hour group climbing session. Have fun roped climbing and bouldering all while learning through a whole range of mixed climbing activities, developing movement awareness and improving confidence. There's an opportunity to add on a pass at the end of the session, this means you can continue bouldering in the centre.

1 Hour, Age 7+ years, Ratio 6:1, Cost: £12 p/p

NICAS climb

The NICAS Climbing scheme also involves some bouldering but mostly climbing with ropes and harnesses. .

We run the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) as weekly 1.5-hour sessions during term time. These sessions are open to kids aged 7 – 18 and cover 5 levels of a nationally-accredited scheme covering; basic safety and best practice, climbing technique, lead climbing, and general fitness and nutrition for training.

All required equipment hire is included in the course, but we do suggest that, as they progress, participants invest in their own equipment to ensure they are getting the most progression out of their sessions.

1.5 Hours, Age 7+ years, Ratio 6:1, min. Cost: £99 per 6 week block.

NICAS Boulder

This is an entry-level award for candidates who wish to gain an insight into the physical activity of bouldering and how to use a bouldering wall safely.

We run our NICAS Bouldering as weekly 1-hour session during term time. These sessions are open to kids aged 7 – 18 and cover 5 levels of a nationally-accredited scheme.

All required equipment hire is included in the course, but we do suggest that, as they progress, participants invest in their own equipment to ensure they are getting the most progression out of their sessions.

Wild Climbers

NICAS Wild Climbers offers climbing skills for all, aimed at children aged 3-6 years. It’s a fun, game oriented programme that aims to introduce climbers safely into the indoor climbing environment, developing their awareness of climbing movements, improving confidence and creating a grassroots pathway into additional climbing activities. Wild Climbers is a programme that is designed to be inclusive and accessible for all.
