We cannot build The LEDGE without you.
A facility to be proud of, The LEDGE features a world-class climbing centre, café, gym and social enterprise built on the foundations of community, inclusivity, and positivity. More than just a climbing wall, The LEDGE is a registered Scottish Charity that can — and will — change lives for the better through our “vertical living” programmes.
OUR TARGET: We need to raise over £150k to complete the facility to the high standard required, so we can open and begin offering our charitable programmes in late 2022.
HOW YOU CAN HELP: We are offering everyone the opportunity to play a part in building The LEDGE — “The Wall in the North”. You can support us by contributing to one (or more) of the 50cm2 climbing wall panels that will make up our bouldering, training, lead, and fun climbing walls. Your name and associated panel number will be shown on a digital map of the wall, be displayed in the centre and be available to download online.

The Story So Far
For the past seven years, we have been working behind the scenes to raise over £800,000 in grants and loans from a number of bodies, including sportscotland and HIE, who have demonstrated belief and commitment in The LEDGE, its aims, and the benefits it will bring to the community.
Having secured these funds, we can now start the building process. This is where you come in!
With the backing of people like you, we can ensure that The LEDGE becomes a world-class climbing and bouldering centre and café, complete with strength and conditioning gyms, a yoga studio, a fun climb area, indoor mini high ropes courses, and much more. (More details below)
“I live too far away to take up the rewards but i’d still love to help!”
If you are unable to enjoy the facilities personally, but still want to support the project, you can make a ‘distance’ pledge and purchase a panel (or two!). We will still detail your name/home city or country on the digital map (if so desired) so that your support from afar is recognised.
You will also be able to download the map online so you can show your friends and family that you have played your part in supporting the charity and bringing this fantastic new facility to the Highlands.
