Intro to
Roped Climbing

Roped climbs rely more on stamina and tenacity over a longer duration as opposed to bouldering where the routes are shorter but tend to be more physical. They are also more suited to those who do not want to ‘drop and roll’ and/or would prefer the protection of a rope and harness when descending back to earth.

At The Ledge we have 50+ set climbs on our top-rope (where the rope is threaded at the top of the wall to limit fall length) and lead walls (where you are at the ‘sharp end’ clipping into fixed bolt protection as you progress).
